Curt Doussett plays Ned in Midway to Heaven. He grew up in San Bernardino, CA. As a public speaker he has hosted events for Microsoft, Ceritpoint, NuSkin and Usana from New York to Los Angeles. Film acting credits include The R.M., Saints and Soldiers (nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards), and Church Ball opposite Fred Willard and Clint Howard. Doussett starred in Discovery Channel’s Hazard Pay in 2007. Other television acting credits include CSI: Miami; Touched by an Angel; NCIS: Navy Criminal Investigative Service; Phil of the Future; and Everwood. He also starred in the telefilm Go Figure for Disney Channel. Doussett and his wife Tonia own ComedySportz in Provo, UT. Under Doussett’s personal direction ComedySportz Utah has been one of the top three ComedySportz troupes at the World Comedy League Championships for the last six years.
Kirby Heyborne plays David in Midway to Heaven. He is an accomplished actor, musician and comedian. He has received critical acclaim for his starring roles in the award-winning World War II drama Saints and Soldiers, the lighthearted family comedy The R.M., and many other successful feature films. Kirby has also appeared on the WB’s Everwood and many national commercials. Recently, Kirby was seen as a recurring character on the hit FOX sitcom Free Ride. Kirby is also a co-founder and director of the celebrated LA-based improv comedy group The Society. Also a successful musician, Kirby has released four solo albums and has had his music featured in many films. Kirby has delighted audiences across the country with his ability to blend heart-warming stories, beautiful music and comedic wit. Kirby enjoys water and snow skiing, watching movies, writing songs, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
Brittany Peltier plays Liz in Midway to Heaven. She is from Orange County, California, and has been acting with civic theaters, light opera companies and repertory theaters there since the age of nine. Some of Brittany’s stage performances include Lil’ Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods; Sally Smith in Me and My Girl; The Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz; and more. Brittany has studied voice and acting from premier coaches in Los Angeles, including: acting and audition workshops with Bobbie Chance and Amy Lyndon; musical theater with Gary Krinke; and voice with Eric Futterer. Brittany enjoys dancing and has specialized training in, African, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap dancing.
Michelle Money plays Carol in Midway to Heaven. She was born and raised in Holladay, Utah. She has had a passion for the arts since her earliest memories. In her younger years, her creative expression was found in musical composition and poetry but as time went on her artistic mind evolved into something much more.
Her career started at the young age of 14 when she landed her first music video for the then superstar boy band, The Backstreet Boys. From then on her career took off. Michelle started booking numerous modeling and commercial work for companies such as McDonalds, Reebok, Franklin Covey, Master Card, Verizon, Union wireless, Jolt Cola, NuSkin, Intel, Morgan Jewelers and many more.
After 13 years in the Industry, Michelle began focusing more on her love of acting. She has since booked numerous roles in television and Film such as: The Eleventh Hour, Justin Time, and Blank Slate.
Melanie Nelson plays Kate in Midway to Heaven. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Utah University and performed as a member of the Utah Shakespearean Festival acting company. She went on to receive her Master of Fine Arts degree from Southern Methodist University, where she performed at the Dallas Theater Center and Fort Worth Shakespeare in the Park, among other venues. Melanie is a founder and the managing director of Pinnacle Acting Company, where she has performed in several roles, including Catherine in Proof. Some of her favorite roles include Portia in The Merchant of Venice (Greer Garson Theater), Annelle in Steel Magnolias (Provo Theatre Company), and Ophelia in Hamlet (Fort Worth Shakespeare in the Park). Film and television credits include Everwood; White on Rice; Hatching Pete; and The Return.
Michael Flynn started working in film in the early 1980’s. His first film is one of his most popular, Footloose. It was closely followed by a film that to this day is a family favorite, Savannah Smiles.
Since then he has appeared in over 100 film and televisions shows, not to mention countless TV commercials and documentaries. Films and TV shows include: Everwood, Touched by An Angel, Testaments, The Lamb of God, Perry Mason, Moonlighting, The Last Sin Eater, I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, Crossroads, and many more.
Michael ventured into producing in 2004 with the ever popular The Best Two Years in which he also had a cameo appearance. Since then he has produced The Dance, Heber Holiday, Friends for Life and most recently Midway to Heaven, which he also directed. Michael and his producing partner Shelley Bingham Husk wrote the screenplay to Midway to Heaven, which is based on the novel by Dean Hughes.
Shelley Bingham Husk comes from orange County, California, where her opera Emily, commissioned by composer Brent Peirce, premiered at the Muckenthaler Center to sold-out crowds.
She is a writer member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers), currently under contract with Plymouth Music Co., FLA. Her choral Piece Children of Tomorrow was performed at the California State PTA Teacher of the Year Awards. Shelley’s poetry has been used by Texas artist Alan McMurtrey and has appeared in such publications as The Poet’s Guild Best New Poems , the Candlelight Poetry Journal, Eagles Flight Publication and Cadar Publishing’s Verses.
Shelley began working in film when she co-wrote The Maui Ditch Kids, with writer/director Bill Brown.; and most recently as Associate Producer for Flynn-Daines Production of Friends for Life. Shelley recently joined forces with Michael Flynn. Together, they are currently working on several projects with their film company Locked Picture Films, LLC.
